Srinagar, April 10 (KNO) : On 09-04-2018, Police Post Choglamsar received a written report from one Nawang Namgial son of Sonam Tundup, owner of S.D. Communication Choglamsar Zampa, stating therein that during the intervening night of 08/09-04-2018 some unknown persons had entered into his shop located at Choglamsar Zampa by breaking the window from backside and had stolen mobile phones and accessories worth Rs. 80,000. On receipt of this information, a case FIR No. 30/2018 under section 457, 380 RPC was registered in Police Station Leh and police team from PP Choglamsar led by ASI Mohammad Ali visited the spot, collected evidences and questioned some suspected persons. During questioning, one suspected person identified as Omar Farooq son of Farooq Ahmad resident of Chanapora, Chadoora, Budgam presently a trunk maker at Choglamsar, confessed of his involvement in committing the offence. Subsequently, on his disclosure stolen properties worth Rs. 80,000 were recovered from his rented room at Choglamsar. Thus District Police Leh solved the theft case within six hours of its reporting to the Police. SSP Leh Ms. Sargun Shukla lauded the role of the Police team led by ASI Mohammad Ali of PP Choglamsar.
