Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to slain youth in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, saying that Indian forces have “touched the climax of atrocities and brutalities”. The outfit also claimed that Indian forces suffered 4 casualties and 7 forces personnel have been injured.
LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to a local news agency GNS said, “Kashmiris have always stood up in defence of freedom fighters and it is the very fact which reminds India of the end of its illegal occupation. Such an act also shuts the mouth of those who suggested the freedom fighters to lay down their weapons against Indian occupation.
To win freedom requires immense sacrifices, not the alms. No nation has ever won freedom by pleading to the occupational forces.” Lashkar chief commended Kashmiri mothers, sisters, brothers and elders for their support. “Their consistent support is a debt on mujahideen. We will go through every sacrifice in this cause,” Mehmood Shah said.
