Youth planning to carry out attack on forces held with grenade : Police | KNO

Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a person planning an attack on government forces in south Kashmir. A police spokesman in a statement issued said that police post Frisal based on reliable information that members of HM and LeT have planned to carry out attacks on security personnel to snatch weapon.

"In this connection, police arrested one of the accused identified as Roshan Zameer Bhat S/O Mohammad Amin R/O Nowpora Frisal,"he said. A case FIR No. 23/2018 was registered in Police Station Yaripora and investigation set into motion, the spokesman said. "During the investigations the accused disclosed that he has kept the illegally acquired explosive material at his residence," he claimed. During search, 01 Chinese grenade which was kept by the subject in collaboration with militants was recovered from Nowpora, he said. Further investigation into the case is going on, he said.
