Drug peddler arrested in Sopore | KNO

Srinagar, April 16 (KNO) : Continuing its war against drug menace, a police party of Police Station Tarzoo headed by DYSP Hqrs Sopore apprehended a drug peddler identified as Altaf Ahmad Wani son of Ghulam Nabi Wani resident of Tarzoo and recovered 1200 grams of Charas powder from his possession.

In this regard case FIR No. 27/2018 under section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered in P/S Tarzoo. It has been found that the said person is a chronic drug peddler of the area and was selling Charas powder among the youth of Sopore at the handsome amount.

SSP Sopore Shri Harmeet Singh Mehta has appealed general public particularly of town Sopore to keep an eye on the elements who are supplying these narcotic materials to youths and provide information to police in order to help the police to eradicate the drug menace from Sopore.
