Government Saturday lauded the role of Jammu and Kashmir Police saying that Crime Branch team that exposed the accused rapists and killers of 8 year old Kathua girl comprises of upright and dedicated officers. While talking to reporters on the sidelines of a function here in Kashmir capital Srinagar, Law Minister Abdul Haq Khan said government has full faith in local police.

He said Justice will neither be delayed nor denied in Kathua rape and murder case. “The case will be taken up on fast track basis. Justice will be delivered and guilty will get what they deserve under law,” he said. The Minister lamented that some people are trying to politicize this barbaric rape and murder incident. “A rape is a rape and it should not be seen through the prism of religion and politics,” Khan added.
