PCPG meetings held at Police Station Handwara, Police Post Zachaldara & Lal Bazar | KNO

Srinagar, April 26 (KNO) : On the directions of SSP Handwara Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani, a PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) meetings were held at Police Station Handwara and Police Post Zachaldara in Handwara. Shri Azam Iqbal chaired the meeting at Police Station Handwara and Shri Bashir Ahmed chaired the meeting at Police Post Zachaldara.

The meetings were attended by large number of people including representatives of all the villages, traders, transporters of adjacent areas. The participants raised many social issues of public importance like drug menace, gambling, eve teasing and issues related to electricity, drinking water and transport facility. They were assured that their grievances will be taken up with the concerned authorities for immediate redressal. The meetings concluded with a vote of thanks.

Srinagar, April 26 (KNO) : A PCPG (Police Community Partnership Group) PCPG meeting was held at Police Station Lal Bazar. With an aim to strengthen relations with public & also to establish first hand contact with masses, Police station Lal Bazar convened a public interaction meeting in which Mohalla presidents & senior citizens of Lal Bazar area participated. The meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Lal Bazar Inspector Shri G. P. Singh. The participants highlighted various issues of public importance like drug abuse, drug addiction & some issues related to civil administration. Participants appreciated the role of police in curbing the social crimes from the area. SHO Lal Bazar stressed upon the importance to keep the pavements clean and un-encroached and shunning the habit of un-unnecessarily displaying the goods outside the shops.

The participants promised to contribute in keeping the busy area of Lal Bazar hassle free. Referring to the issues highlighted by the participants SHO Lal Bazar assured them that issues pertaining to police will be solved in shortest possible time & the rest will be taken up with the civil administration for their redressal on priority. He also sought the cooperation of participants in social crimes.
