United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday expressed deep grief over the sad demise of veteran leader, Islamic scholar, and former Nazim-e-Tableegh Jamiat Ahle Hadith Jammu Kashmir, Moulana Ghulam Nabi Wani, who passed away after a long-term illness at his residence at Khanyar, Srinagar.
In a statement , UJC secretary general Sheikh Jameel-ur-Rehman said Moulana throughout his life propagated the message of Qur’an and Sunnah and dedicated his life for the freedom movement. Terming the demise of Moulana Ghulam Nabi Wani as a great loss to the movement, Sheikh said they have lost a sincere and dedicated scholar.
Praying for heavenly abode of the deceased, Sheikh expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family and prayed for their forbearance. UJC secretary general announced that the funeral prayers in absentia for the Moulana Ghulam Nabi Wani will be held at Jamia Masjid Shiwai Muzaffarabad after Friday prayers.
