Srinagar May 5 (KNO) : Urging upon the State Govt to release pending salaries of SSA teachers, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A.Mir today expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting teachers due to attitude of the Govt about their genuine, which is very unfriendly and non-serious.

Commenting on the pending salary of SSA Teachers, that has not been released since five months, G.A. Mir sought clarity from the Govt, saying that Govt should explain as to why the salary is not being released in favour of SSA Teachers. On the one hand Govt is claiming to maintain work culture and streamline the Educational Institutions, but on the other hand, it has not able to release the pay dues of SSA Teachers agitating for last five months, he said.

My point is that if the Govt is really serious about the smooth functioning of educational institutions, then why the pay dues of SSA teachers pending for last five months were not being released, the tall claims of the Govt about adding priority to education sector has proved as a hoax, he added, I would, also urge upon the Govt to take effective measures to address the genuine concerns of other employees agitating against pay anomalies etc, G.A. Mir said.
