6.2 Kgs Poppy Straw recovered from Drug Peddler at Jawahar Tunnel | KNO

District Police Kulgam while continuing its drive against drug menace under campaign #WarOnDrugs recovered 6.2 kgs of poppy straw and arrested a drug peddler. Police party of Police Post Jawahar Tunnel, during naka checking arrested one person namely Surinder Kumar S/O Nasib Chand R/O Manwal Bimyal Pathankote Punjab who was found carrying poppy straw in his vehicle No JK05C-9469.

On this instance case FIR No.116/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered in police station Qazigund and investigation in the case is going on. People of the area have hailed the action of police. Police is committed to make the area drugs free.

Society in general is requested to cooperate with Kulgam Police for arresting such criminals and to eradicate the drug menace so that the future of youth can be made secure.
