JAMMU, May 22 (KNO) : Condemning use of what he called absurd language used by a leader for a women Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP) leader from Jammu West Puneet Singh Jamwal appreciated the action of state police in registering FIR against the accused without wasting any time and said that this is not only unacceptable language but also calls for unequivocally condemnation by all right thinking people. Puneet while addressing the party workers said at a time when the borders have come alive and Chief minister is leaving no stone unturned to help affected families besides planning jobs for the kins of deceased, such a statement by a non-entity speaks of frustration on his part.

“Stooping so low in politics can never be approved by any political outfit especially when state needs people who could contribute into peace and development,” he added. He further said, “It was only yesterday that Chief Minister visited Chandu Chak village in R.S. Pura sector and met family of Tarsem Lal and his wife Manjeet Kaur who were killed in cross border shelling and imparted financial assistance to them. She even directed the district administration of prepare cases for compensating damages caused to the houses and livestock in the village.” The very same day, she also reviewed projects of utmost importance for Jammu region.

At a time when the Chief Minister is working for equitable development of all three regions of the state, such uncalled for statements and languages by anyone cannot be justified. Hoping that police will investigate matter swiftly, the PDP leader said that accused must be punished under law of land so as to set an example for everyone to understand how one must respect women in our state. It was only last year that Chief Minister also distributed scooties amongst girl students of Jammu colleges and Srinagar colleges besides she started women special buses and set up women police stations. It was she who encouraged women entrepreneurs and asked them to be a force to reckon with. When the Chief Minister is working so hard to maintain dignity of women, common politeness, respect and humility enables Mehbooba Mufti to deserve admiration for her qualities and achievements by all means, he added.
