JAMMU, May 22 (KNO) : Janta Dal United (JDU) Jammu and Kashmir State President G M Shaheen, today expressed grave concern over Pakistani firing and shelling along International Border and Line of Control, leading to dislocation of border dwellers, killing of civilians including an eight month child yesterday.

Shaheen while addressing the party workers at party head office Rajbagh Srinagar conveyed condolences to the families that lost their dear ones and condoled the death of a BSF Jawan in recent firing. He further said bullets and shells are causing enormous human sufferings and this had to be stopped by working towards heralding peace by adhering to the ceasefire agreement. He further reminded that the promises made to border people have fallen flat and at times the state administration including Central government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi fails even to shift the injured to hospitals for specialized treatments.

He expressed anguish over the callousness of the coalition dispensation and said its presence is nowhere to be seen at ground zero, especially during exigencies. He added that the people’s problems are accumulating with each passing day and called for earnest measures for redressing the problems of the youth which is need of the hour to address the miseries of border people residing on IB and LoC.
