Srinagar May 26 (KNO) : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today held protest demonstrations against the anti-people and wrong policies adopted by BJP Govt at Centre, describing the four years of Narinder Modi Govt as full of lies and betrayals.

The Party leaders & workers led by Taj Mohi U Din held strong protest demonstrations at Srinagar’s M.A Road, raising slogans against the failures and anti-people policies adopted by the BJP Govt at Centre. The party workers displayed placards highlighting the failures of Centre and State Govt. Earlier, Taj Mohi U Din presided over a meeting of Senior Party Functionaries and activists at PCC Office, slamming the irresponsible & indifferent behavior of the Govt towards the people. He said BJP has betrayed people in the country after coming into power, the tall claims and promises made by it especially PM Narinder have fallen fall flat.

He said BJP is celebrating the completion of four years in power to mislead the masses, for the fact, this party especially PM Narinder Modi was responsible for the crisis in the country, price hike on essential especially petrol & diesel, rising unemployment, demonetization & pro industrialist policies on the part of PM will remain the source behind agony and anguish of the people.

The erosion of democratic Intuitions to grab power has severely damaged the democratic set up in the country exhibiting the hypocrisy on the part of Narinder Modi, but at the sametime, he (Taj) felt confident that Congress Party is capable enough to safeguard the democratic institutions of the country, it will continue to struggle to bring the people out of the morass created by BJP.

On this occasion, he launched a scathing attack on State Govt also, describing it as the hallmark of betrayal and backstabbing, as that, both PDP BJP have not only failed people on every count, but backstabbed them for coming into power. Polarization and exploitation on the part of BJP in these four years have damaged socio-political scenario of the country, he added and said that BJP will have face the consequents for playing with the emotions of people for power. Similarly protest demonstration were held by District Congress Committee Kupwara, which was led by District President Haji Farooq Mir.

The Party workers and leaders raised slogans against the BJP RSS for undermining the authority of democratic institutions in the country and victimizing people under the garb of price hike. Prominent among others who addressed the meeting included Vice President Mohd Anwar Bhat, Spokesperson Farooq Andrabi, Ab. Gani Khan and others.
