JAMMU, May 26 (KNO) : “Modi government has failed to protect life and liberty of people of Jammu and Kashmir, former MLC and AICC Vichar Vibhag Coordinator said Ashok Sharma stated this while addressing the protest demonstration on Vishwasghat Diwas organized by local unit of Congress Vichar Vibhag. Sharma while addressing the media said, “Unprovoked firing and killing of innocent civilians during cease fire by Pakistan.

It is a complete failure of foreign policy of the union government and said that four years of BJP Government has been marred by multiple corruption scandals, deep-rooted rural distress, rampant, un-employment, a sliding economy, shutting down of small and medium enterprises, unpardonable atrocities on dalits/adivasis/minorities, women and complete mis-governance.” He added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is guided more by rhetoric and jumlas, rather than meaningful delivering on the promises made to people of India.

Every section of populace is up in arms against BJP Governments at the Centre and also in the states, for they sought people’s mandate based on absolute falsehood and deception. Jatinder Bhagat Sr. Congress leader said that atrocities on dalits/adivasis/minorities/women are at an all time high. Two recent instances, Kathua (J&K) and Unnao in Utter Pradesh are recent examples as to how BJP leaders are protecting the accused, rather than defending the honour of women.

Flogging of Dalits in Una, Gujarat, murder of Dalit Meghwal in Rajasthan, forced suicide of Rohit Vemula and inscribing the words of SC/ST on the chest of those applying for government jobs in Madhya Pradesh are examples as to how BJP is persecuting Dalits. The manner, in which prevention of atrocities on Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Act was virtually quashed, has also been the last straw in proving the failure of Modi government to defend the poor.
