Altaf Bukhari lays foundation of Commercial Taxes Office in Srinagar | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 01 (KNO) : Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today laid foundation stone of commercial tax office complex at Solina Srinagar.

The five storey building will come up at the cost of Rs 35.75 crore and JK Projects Construction Corporation Limited will execute the project while Creations Architects Engineers and Planners prepared the design for the new upcoming Commercial Tax Office Complex. The minister was accompanied by Minister of State for Finance Ajay Nanda, MLA Batamaloo Noor Mohammad Sheikh, MD JKPCC and other senior officers of the department. Speaking on the occasion, Minister said the Commercial Tax Department will soon have a new office complex with state-of-art facilities that will reduce the accommodation constraints.

The proposed multi-storey office complex is likely to be completed in three years by the executing agency JKPCC. The building would be raised over an area of 14435 Sqft with basement parking. The minister examined the blueprint of the proposed project and inquired about the design and composition of the building. Bukhari asked the executing agency to complete the project in stipulated time and maintain quality during the execution of the work. On the occasion the officials of JKPCC brief the minister about the upcoming project and the facilities to be made available in the complex. The ministers had a brief interaction with the officials and staff of the commercial tax department who informed the minister about the working of the department particularly in post GST implementation scenario.

The staff also apprised the minister about various issues faced by them and sought redressal of their grievances. Minister gave patient hearing to their grievances and assured them that they will look into the issues and will redress their genuine demands.
