SRINAGAR, JUNE 02 (KNO) : A division bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Srinagar comprising Acting Chief Justice Justice Alok Aradhe and Justice M. K. Hanjura heard a case of Jammu Wing via video conferencing here today.

Similarly, Justice Tashi Rabstan also held court proceedings at Jammu through video conferencing and heard cases pertaining to Leh-Ladakh region. It was said that use of video conferencing in court hearings has quickened the dispensation of justice.

“Previously Judges had to move from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa for hearing of cases, and some of the cases which remain tied to a particular Judge in a wing of the High Court was listed only when that Judge was available there. “But the use of video conferencing has avoided this hassle and the step is being widely appreciated by the legal fraternity and litigants and is likely to fulfil the expectations of the seekers of justice,” Registrar Judicial Srinagar said.
