Srinagar, June 02 (KNO) : Continuing its efforts to strengthen police public relations, Shopian police organized a police pubic meeting at Police Post Imamsahab. Respectable citizens from nearby villages including Manihal, Chotipora, Barbugh Imamsahib, Wuyan, Amarbugh participated in the meeting.
A number of issues were raised by the participants ranging from electricity shortage, macadamization of roads, issuance of death/birth certificates from Police Post Imamsahib and other issues faced by general public were discussed.
The chairing officer In-charge PP Imamsahab Shri Javaid Ahmad assured the participants of taking up the issues with concerned departments for their early redressal and the issues pertaining to police will be redressed shortly. During the meeting, the participants were requested to come forward to help Police in identifying those involved in drug trafficking in order to eradicate the menace of narcotics cultivation and drug abuse.
