Teachers Association, Accounts employees call on Finance Minister | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 05 (KNO) : Various delegations on Tuesday called on Minister for Finance, Labour and Employment Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari and apprised him about various issues of public interest. General Line Teachers Forum lead by Anwar Hussain Wani called on the minister and apprised him about various issues faced by the teaching community.

They sought intervention of the, minister to streamline the salaries of teachers appointed under SSA so that unnecessary delays in salaries is avoided in future. The delegation also sought pay anomaly of teachers and masters besides cash payment of arrears in case of NPS employees. They also demanded creation of posts for new subjects and creation of Teacher’s welfare Fund. A delegation of Non-Gazetted employees of Accounts Department also called on the Minister and discussed threadbare their issues. The delegation sought cadre review, pay anomaly and enhancement promotion quota.

They also urged the minister to direct the concerned officials to conduct regular DPCs to avoid stagnation in the department. The newly recruited employees demanded release of regular salaries during their training period instead of the current norm of stipend. A delegation of RTO consultants also called on the Minister and sought his intervention to redress their grievances. Minister gave patient hearing to all the delegations and assured them that he will examine their demands and will redress all their genuine demands. He also passed on-spot direction to redress some of the issues.
