Tariq Zargar assumes charge as Director Information; Munir-ul-Islam as Director Archives | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 06 (KNO) : Tariq Ahmad Zargar (KAS) today took charge as Director Information and Public Relations (DIPR) here. He was given a warm welcome by outgoing Director DIPR Muneer-ul-Islam (KAS), who has been posted as Director, Archives, Archaeology and Museums.

Zargar has earlier served in various capacities in many Departments. He has also been Deputy Commissioner Poonch. Upon assuming office, Zargar went around various sections of the Directorate of Information and took an appraisal of the activities of the Department. He also interacted with the staff members. He stressed upon the officers and officials of the Department to further cement the relationship between the Department and the media for furthering the goal of an informed and knowledge society. Meanwhile, Munir-ul-Islam assumed office as Director Archives, Archaeology and Museums today.

He was accorded warm welcome by the employees of the Department.
