NSS volunteers launched Swachh Bharat Mission in Kishtwar | KNO

KISHTWAR (KNO) : Continuing the mission of cleanliness drive ,five teams of NSS unit of Govt Degree College Kishtwar took their campaign in different zones of the district including the great Chowgan ground . The main motive of activity was door to door awareness campaign about health and hygiene , sanitation and hazardous impact of polythene on the environment. Around 350 households were covered in these five zones and they were motivated to take oath for Clean and green Kishtwar .

A huge rally was also organised in collaboration with high school Bandrena regarding cleanliness and environment protection.In order to preserve the ecology of chowgan. Walk the talk awareness activity was also organised by one team of NSS with morning walkers of the Chowgan ground . NSS programme officer Prof Faisal Mushtaq in her address called upon the volunteers to work sincerely in the villages and contribute in making a clean and healthy society by taking effective steps.

He also displayed documentary on Swachh Bharat Mission and advised students to exhibit patience, voluntarism and dedication while working in the villages.He also appreciated the efforts of district police headed by SSP Abrar Chowdhary in making Chowgan free of all the vehicular movements.
