Chrar-I-Shareef People of Jammu Kashmir, Palestine and other suppressed nations desire to live with dignity, honor and freedom but international community is denying them these basic human desires. Our struggle for freedom and self determination is genuine and legitimated and use of military means, political gimmicks or oppressive measures can not deter this nation from pursuing this sacred goal.

Only way to ensure lasting peace, prosperity, development and tranquility is to accept this reality and right of Kashmiris and grant it to them without any further delay. This was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik while addressing a mammoth gathering at Chrar-I-Shareef today on the occasion of Jummatul wida. Earlier to lead today’s rally, JKLF chairman managed to reach Chrar-I-Shareef after evading police barriers and barricades and reached the sacred shrine at Nimaz- I-Jummah.

After Friday prayers, people especially youth raising passionate slogans in favor of freedom and resistance took JKLF chairman on their shoulders. This rally took the shape of a grand people’s procession which was addressed by JKLF chairman and other JKLF leaders. In his address, JKLF chairman said that Jammu Kashmir has been turned into a killing field where Indian colonial forces are killing humans at will and no one among the international community seems to bother or feel any pain. In fact international community on many occasions chooses to blame the oppressed Kashmiris for being killed, maimed, blinded and vandalized.

Similarly Palestinians are being brutalized by Zionist Israel and international community especially the US instead of stopping killers is seen vetoing at UNO to shield Israeli crimes. JKLF chairman said that today the so-called civilized world has started giving preference to trade ties and strategic military and political partnerships over humanity, human rights, human dignity and human lives and this attitude has turned the whole universe into a battle field where human blood is spilled without any regret or shame. He said that humans in Jammu Kashmir, Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Chechnya, Libya, Afghanistan and many other places in the world are facing catastrophes’ because of the callous , inhuman and unfortunate attitude of the international community.

JKLF chairman said that Kashmir has been turned into a killing field where on daily basis young and old are being slaughtered with impunity by Indian colonial forces and no one among the human community seem to feel any pain on this human catastrophe. Replying the assertions of Indian Home Minster about resistance camp playing with the future of new Kashmiri generations, JKLF chairman said that how can those people who are killing our young ones, blinding our budding flowers and maiming our kith and kin especially from last four years have the audacity to deliver sermons on saving new generations .

Did not they feel any shame or regret on the oppression they have unleashed on these young Kashmiris, said JKLF chairman. He said that from last seventy plus years, Indian occupation using its military and police might have let loose an unprecedented coercion against Kashmiri people especially the youth. Youth in peaceful movement are subjected to torture, arrest, and humiliation and thus pushed to the wall.

Same young boys are now being targeted and killed with impunity and their death is celebrated by the colonial forces, and now sermons on saving their future is also being delivered by the same oppressors which is actually pathetic and shameful. He said that from 2016 uprising till today, more than 600 young and old have been killed, more than ten thousands blinded and thousands maimed and imprisoned by India and its local agents .

This genocide and state sponsored violence continues unabated and sole aim of it is to suppress Kashmiri voices for freedom and self determination. Besides employing iron fist policies, Indian policy makers with active support of their stooges like PDP are trying to play peace talk drama to hoodwink international opinion and camouflage their crimes against humanity, asserted Malik. Recalling history of different resistance movements, JKLF chairman said that no oppressor or illegal occupant till date has succeeded in suppressing the desire for freedom and self determination of the oppressed nations and in this battle between the weak and powerful, it is the suppressed and weak who taste the last triumph and success.

JKLF chairman said that Freedom and right of self determination are our birth right, our desire, our aspiration and our demand and only way to address Kashmiri issue, only way to ensure lasting peace, prosperity, development and tranquility is to accept this reality and right of Kashmiris and grant it to them without any further delay. Stressing the need of strengthening unity and oneness, JKLF chairman said that pro-India politicians, parties and assembly members are actually responsible for our miseries as they collaborate with the oppressors and provide legitimacy to their crimes. He said that as a living nation it is our duty to stay away from any process like elections that gives these collaborators power to harm us and boycott them with force. He said that thousands of young and old Kashmiris are languishing in police stations and jails and are being denied basic human facilities in jails.

Jails have been turned into Abu Ghareeb’s where human dignity is trampled on daily basis by the so-called biggest democracy. Stressing upon the need for an early release of all Kashmiri prisoners from jails, Yasin Malik said that civilized countries and nations don’t cage their opponents and suppress their voices and if India and its Kashmiri stooges claim to be democrats, they should open the doors of jails and let free those who have been languishing in jails from many years.

He said that on Eid days previously it was a common practice to release prisoners but today PDP rulers under the influence of RSS Hindu fanaticism instead of releasing inmates are actually trying to arrest and house arrest more people and fill jails and police stations which is highly condemnable. At the end of Jalsa JKLF chairman were given a rousing farewell by the people present in the Jalsa. Thousands of people especially the youth enthusiastically gathered around Yasin sahib took him on their shoulders and raised passionate slogans in favor of freedom and unity. Resolution from joint resistance leadership (JRL) was also read out before the public which was unanimously adopted by people with one voice.

Also JKLF senior leader Zahoor Ahmad Butt today addressed people at Trehgam Kupwara. In his address JKLF leader strongly condemned the ongoing oppression in Kashmir. He said that unity and oneness were keys to success and we all should remain vigilant and maintain unity among our ranks and keep on resisting the sinister designs of India. Resolution by joint resistance leadership was also read out here at Trehgam and people with one voice accepted and passed this resolution. Meanwhile JKLF chairman has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of GK online editor Wahid Bukhari’s maternal uncle and prayed for his heavenly abode. While expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, JKLF chairman prayed for their Sabr I Jamil too.
