Srinagar June 9 (KNO) : Discussing, threadbare overall socio-political scenario obtaining in the State, the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today held a meeting of Senior Party leaders of Kashmir province in Srinagar to debate and discuss the current situation in the State especially in valley arising out of the misrule and mis-governance on the part of ruling PDP BJP dispensation.

Congress also emphasized the Govt to address the issues concerning people in respect of rising unemployment, lack of developmental, safety of common people etc, saying that mere tall claims and unfulfilled promises won’t address the problems, there was a need to reach out to people to address their problems.

The meeting was presided over by the J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir, who while addressing the meeting stated that security scenario in the valley started deteriorating since the day PDP BJP assumed power in the State.

He said both the partners apart from exploiting people on sensitive issues, played emotional cards in the regions to misled voters for the sake of coming into power, as result, people have lost faith leading to their disillusionment. Referring to the worsening security scenario, G. A. Mir that lack of policy on the party of Centre and State, unabated civilian killings etc have added anger to the people, as a result the atmosphere has worsened to a largest extent in the valley, he emphasized both State and Centre Govt to come out with CBMs ensuring that the lost trust among the people is restored.

He said people were expecting that their grievances would be addressed, they would get employment, developmental scenario would touch new heights, security scenario would improve and what not, but their expectations were not fulfilled, rather they were exploited and betrayed on certain sensitive issues concerning regions in the State, as a result, there was a great disillusionment among the people, Mir said. Congress will continue to work for peace and normalcy, besides highlighting the miseries of people in all the three regions for their resolution, G.A.
