Expedite dev works in Old Srinagar on priority : Div Com to officers | KNO

SRINAGAR, JUNE 9 (KNO) : While reviewing the acquisition of land and structures for various projects in the old city of Srinagar, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Baseer Ahmad Khan today directed the officers and engineers to expedite various developmental works in the downtown on the priority basis.

Threadbare discussions were held for Land/Structure acquisition of Community Halls at Zaina Kadal, Namchibal, Baba Demb, Kawdara, Fire Station at Maharaj Gunj, and other developmental works in the old city (downtown). The Divisional Commissioner directed Fire and Emergency department to place an indent along with DPR to the Government within a week for the release of funds so that the construction work is started soon.

Regarding other developmental projects, he directed Additional Deputy Commissioner to submit the report to the Divisional Commissioner’s office immediately so that all bottlenecks are cleared. Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Fire and Emergency Services, Superintending Engineer R&B, Collector Land Acquisition, Joint Commissioner SMC, affected shop/structure owners and other concerned were present in the meeting.
