Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday directed the authorities to release the pending salaries of SSA teachers before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The CM made the decision while chairing a high-level meeting regarding the issues of SSA teachers who have been protesting since last week demanding the salaries before the festive occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The teachers had threatened to intensify the protest demonstrations across the state and observe the Eid as ‘black day’ if their salaries were not released ahead of the festival.
"Chaired a meeting regarding the salaries of SSA teachers to find a swift resolution to this issue," Mehbooba Mufti tweeted.
