Special DGP visits slain policeman's home at Kupwara | KNO

Today Special DGP (Hqrs) PHQ J&K Shri V.K Singh, IPS along with his wife Mrs Vijaya Singh accompanied by SP Kupwara Shri Shriram Dinkar Ambarkar-IPS and other officers visited the house of martyr SgCt Ghulam Rasool Lone at Village Gagal Lolab in District Kupwara, who attained martyrdom yesterday in a terror attack at New District Court Complex Pulwama.

The Special DGP extended condolences on behalf of DGP J&K to the bereaved family and assured of all possible assistance to the family of the martyr which includes job to the next of the kin and bearing educational expenses of the Martyr's children. The Special DGP also assured the family that the amount of ex-gratia relief will be paid to the family as soon as legal formalities are completed and also directed SP Kupwara to get the paper work done at the earliest.

The Special DGP met the grief stricken family members of the martyr and while highlighting the supreme sacrifice made by the martyr assured them that the whole Police Department is like a family which stands by them in this hour of grief. Mrs Vijaya Singh especially met the widow of the martyr and consoled her.
