Div Com visits Tulmulla, reviews Mela Kheerbhawani arrangements | KNO

GANDERBAL, JUNE 13 (KNO) : Divisional Commissioner Baseer Ahmad Khan today visited Mata Kheerbhawani Shrine in Tulmulla to review the arrangements undertaken for the forthcoming Mela.

The Div Com later chaired a meeting of various officers and issued directions to complete all arrangements well before the start of the Mela. During the meeting, the Div Com was informed that five buildings having 75 rooms are ready for guests. In addition to it, Pre-fab huts, dormitories and tents have also been put in place for accommodating more pilgrims. 50 lavatory blocks separate for men and women have also been put in place. The Div Com directed the commissioning of Sewerage Treatment Plant at the earliest. He also directed to complete the cleaning process of the local stream at the earliest.

Regarding healthcare, the Div Com was informed that 12 bedded hospital has been put in place complete with doctors and sufficient quantity of medicine. He directed for the posting of a critical care ambulance at the hospital. The Div Com also directed for exploring other places for parking in addition of current parking which can accommodate vehicles.

The Div Com directed the concerned officers to ensure uninterrupted power and drinking water supply during the Mela. He also reviewed security and transport facilities, besides availability of ration and Medicare facilities. He also directed for immediate repairs of roads leading to the shrine area. He directed to remove all bottlenecks and illegal vendors from roads leading to the shrine. The meeting was attended by IG Traffic Basant Rath, ADC Gbl, SE R&B and other officials.
