Valley’s first footwear store to offer shopping on interest-free instalments

SRINAGAR (KNO) : First of its kind in the valley, a leading footwear store here has started a unique scheme for its costumers to shop the UK-based brand – Clarks and other leading international brands payable through easy interest-free Instalments.

C@Walk (as in catwalk) shoes at Regal Chowk Srinagar has come up with this idea of selling their products to customers up to the limit of 40,000 rupees who can payback on monthly instalments without any interest rate. All you have to do is to provide your basic personal information for the firm’s database and take a premium card with unique identification number and shop without worrying for the payment.

According to Farhan Kitaab, proprietor C@Walk shoes, who is also the spokesperson of Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Association, this is the “first of its kind” initiative in the valley. “We are the only firm in the valley who are providing this opportunity to our customers. Though the ease of paying in instalments is provided by the big online giants also but they charge interest for instalments. Ours is interest-free and the customers can shop for up to 40000 rupees. The customers have to pay the basic amount only,” Farhan said.

The footwear store deals in all kinds of formal and informal shoes and sandals of leading brands for both men and women. Farhan said that they have started this initiative on the special occasion of Eid and keeping in view the marriage season ahead of Eid. “Majority of Kashmiris are working class and cannot afford to shop in bulk or buy expensive brands so we offer them to shop for their favourite brands and pay in easy instalments. We want to take this brand to the common masses and make it a house hold name,” said Farhan. The firm is also planning to make home delivery of products to their premium card holders.

They will also include all the major international brands in their plan “if the feedback from the customers was be positive”. “Eid shoppers can make best out of it and also people who are planning to shop for their marriage ceremonies. It would be very convenient for them,” Farhan said.
