SDA, JKHB employees call on Asiea Naqash | KNO

Rs 1.73 Cr released for several development works

SRINAGAR, JUNE 18 (KNO) : A delegation of Srinagar Development Authority (SDA) and Jammu and Kashmir Housing Board (JKHB) employees called on the Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Health, Medical Education and Social Welfare, Asiea Naqash and wished her warm Eid greetings. The delegation also thanked the Minister for approving 7th pay Commission to the SDA and JKHB employees.

While interacting with the members, the Minister said that Government has fulfilled promises made earlier with the department regarding 7th pay commission. The Minister urged the members to work in a coordinated manner and to put maximum efforts to make the department more vibrant, effective and efficient. She further directed them to constantly pursue the issues with the concerned authorities so that the directions are implemented on ground as per the aspirations of the people. People from catchment areas of Hazratbal constituency in large numbers also visited at her residence and offered their Eid greetings.

While discussing the development scenario in the Hazratbal constituency with the locals, the Minister informed that 1.73 crore funds are released for several development works. Pertinently, out of 1.73 crore, 36 lakhs under Special Area Development Programme (SADP) and 1.37 crore under Planning Grants have been released. The projects for which funds are released include 1.37 crore for road widening at Ummerhair and Habak chowk Hazratbal, 10 lakhs for up gradation work of Me-Shah Sahab shrine Ranawari, 6 lakhs for development of park at GurporaRanawari, 20 lakhs for land acquisition for road widening at Tang Bagh Dug MohullaRanawari.
