Shutdown Call : Geelani, Mirwaiz, Sehrai under house detention, 'Malik arrest' | KNO

Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani, Hurriyat (M) Chairman Mohammad Umar Farooq and chairman of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai were put under house arrest on Thursday, while as Yasin Malik is lodged in police station Kothibagh Srinagar.

Reports said that Geelani, Mirwaiz, and Sehrai were placed under house arrest from today morning to prevent them from leading any protest against the civilian killings in Kashmir.

Pertinently, Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, and Yasin Malik had called for a protest shutdown today against the killing of senior journalist Shujaat Bukhari and recently killed civilians in the valley.
