DIG CKR visits Baltal; reviews security arrangements | KNO

Holds a meeting with civil, police and paramilitary officials

June 21 (KNO) : Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR Shri V.K Bidri today visited Baltal where he reviewed the security arrangements in view of the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. Later, the DIG held a meeting with the civil, police and paramilitary officials.

During the meeting, many issues including providing basic facilities to the PMF deployed for the SANJAY-2018 and security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims were also discussed. DIG CKR stressed on having a close coordination among various forces in order to have better results during the Yatra. Shri V.K Bidri directed to conduct regular meetings with all the stake holders to provide better services / assistance to the pilgrims. DIG CKR also urged on gathering intelligence on ground so as to ensure incident free SANJAY 2018. Later SSP Ganderbal Shri Fayaz Ahmad Lone presented a detailed presentation on deployment of forces for SANJAY 2018.

Among others who attended the meeting includes commander sector 3RR Brigadier Usman, DIG ITBP Shri Manoj Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Shri Piyush Singla and other senior officers of Police, Security forces.
