Gunfight rages in Srigufwara area of Anantnag district on Friday morning between goverment forces and militants. Official sources told that on a specific information army and SOG launched search operation in Srigufwara area.
As such the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter.
When contacted SSP Anantnag Altaf Khan confirmed the incident and said that contact has been established and intermittent exchange of firing is on.
