Strongly condemned killing of civilian in Nowshera Anantnag : Hurriyat (M) | KNO

Srinagar, Jun 22 (KNO) : Strongly condemning the recent killing of unarmed civilians Muhammad Yousuf Rather of Nowshera Anantnag, Sheeraz Ahmad Naikoo of Brakpora Anantnag, Waqas Ahmad Rather of Nowpora Pulama, Ajaz Ahmad of Kulgam and injuring several during CASO operations launched by the government forces at various places in South Kashmir and the dastardly assassination of noted senior journalist Syed Shujaat Bukhari by unidentified gunmen, the APHC has said the spilling of the blood and human tragedies has become a routine in Kashmir.

To protest against these acts of killing the APHC held a peaceful and silent sit-in protest after the Friday congregation prayers outside Jamia Masjid Srinagar in which a number of APHC activists participated. The Protestors demanded immediate end to the innocent killing and atrocities on the people of Kashmir.

Meanwhile, APHC has paid glowing tributes to the armed youth Dawood Ahmad Sofi from Srinagar, Majid Manzoor Dar of Talangam Pulwama, Aadil Rehman Bhat of Shettipora Bijbehara and Mohd Ashraf Itoo from Hatigam Srigufwara Anantang who were martyred in an encounter in South Kashmir. The Hurriyat said the sacrifices rendered by the youth of Kashmir will undoubtedly bear fruit.
