Waheed Para resigns as Secretary Sports Council | KNO

Secretary J&K State Sports Council Waheed Ur Rehman Para on Friday submitted his resignation to J&K Governor at Raj Bhawan. Pertinent to mention here, that his term as secretary, Sports Council was expiring on 11-08-2019 as per the constitution (pre-Revised) of the sports council.

During his tenure as Secretary Sports Council, a lot has been contributed to the development of sports culture in the state and promotion of young sportspersons of the state whom Waheed Para usually considers as the real ambassadors of peace and harmony. Further, Waheed Para thanked the employees of the Sports Council for their immense support in making the sporting activities vibrant all over the three regions of the State.

“I thank all the employees of the Sports Council for their immense support in drafting and making sports activities vibrant across the state. They always maintained the high standards and worked over time apart from their regular duties for the smooth functioning of the activities across all the three regions, Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and I hope that the mission of making J&K as Sports centric State shall be taken forward,” said Waheed Para.
