Srinagar 06 July (KNO) : Condemning shifting of Aasia Indrabi and her two associates to Delhi by NIA, AIP President Er. Rasheed has said that such moves reflect the confusing mindset of New Delhi. In a statement issued today Er. Rasheed said “On one hand union government talks about its willingness to talk to pro-resistance groups but on the other hand shifting ailing Aasia Indrabi to Delhi exposes the contradictions.

With her husband already in jail since more than two decades, Aasia’s arrest proves that New Delhi has nothing to offer Kashmiris. New Delhi should stop terrorizing genuine Kashmiri leadership and must understand that muscular policy will not work”. Er. Rasheed added that violence and confrontation will help none and all the stake holders must understand the significance of resolving Kashmir dispute in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of people of the state.

He said “Whether it is arresting Aasia Indrabi, killing militants or the brutal murder of constable Javid Ahmad in Shopian all these incidents will just add fuel to the fire and nothing will change on the ground. New Delhi must give up arrogance and adopt a realistic attitude, so that not only miseries of Kashmiris come to an end but mothers don’t lose their beloved sons”.

Er. Rasheed also condemned administration for not handing over the dead body of slain Burzalla youth Mudasir Ahmad Bhat and said that authorities must understand the sentiments and pain of the bereaved family. He appealed administration not to make it a point of ego and return the body of Mudasir Ahmad without further excuses, so that family performs the last rites of Mudasir.
