02 drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar | KNO

July 06 (KNO) : Srinagar police arrested two drug peddlers during motor vehicle checking at Badshah Bridge and recovered eight kilograms of fukki from their possession.

Police Station Maisuma established a motor vehicle checking point at Badshah Bridge in their jurisdiction. During checking, a Tavera bearing registration number JKO4B 7225 was intercepted. On search, 3 kilograms of fukki like substance concealed in three green polythene packets weighing around 1 kg each was recovered. Besides on personal search of two persons boarding the vehicle namely Tara Chand and Harchavan Singh residents of Punjab, fukki like substance weighing about 2 ½ kilograms each concealed in their handmade jackets was recovered. In this regard a case FIR number 17 /2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
