Expresses serious concern over deteriorating situation

Srinagar July 10 (KNO) : The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) expressed serious concern over the civilian killings and injuries to scores during Forces action in Shopian today, emphasizing the people especially youth to maintain peace, as that, the peace and stability is must for safety, security and overall development of the people.

The Party also urged upon the Forces to exercise restraint while dealing with law and order problem, saying that loss of civilians cannot be replaced by anything, besides it adds more anger, leading to the deep alienation among the people.

The JKPCC Spokesperson described the civilian killings and injuries to scores in Shopian as highly unfortunate and disappointing, urging that the unabated blood- shed must come to an end in the larger interest of peace. Reiterating his appeal to people especially youth to maintain peace, the Spokesperson added that valley has suffered immensely due to the wrong policies adopted by previous unholy alliance of PDP BJP, besides the lack of policies on the part of Centre has added chaos to the situation.

He lamented the fact that the peace initiatives of UPA I UPA II has been undone BJP Govt at Centre, as a result, the situation has worsened to a largest extent. The unholy alliance of PDP BJP was responsible for the damages caused to peace in the State, the Spokesperson said.
