Achabal attack : One more CRPF trooper succumbs, toll 2 | KNO

One more paramilitary trooper who was injured after militants attacked a CRPF party near Achabal in south Kashmir’s Ansntnag district on Friday, succumbed to injuries taking the death toll to two.

Earlier, a Assistant-Sub-Inspector of CRPF namely ML Meena along with two other troopers suffered injuries after militants attacked the CRPF 96 /D bn in Achabal. In the incident a civilian Ghulam Rasool also received injuries. All the injured were immediately taken to Achabal hospital where the officer ML Meena succumbed. Other two CRPF men were shifted to army's 92 base hospital, however, one among the injured namely Sandeep Singh Yadav succumbed on the way.

A senior police officer also confirmed the attack and said that two CRPF troopers including an officer died and two others suffered injuries. He said that the area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
