Protest programs held across globe on the occasion of martyrs’ day (13th July 1931), JKLF expresses grief over the accidental death of two Batamaloo youth

Srinagar 14th July 2018 (KNO) :  Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik who was arrested by police on 5th July 2018 from his residence, has today been released after almost ten days of incarceration. During these days of Incarceration, Police authorities regrettably prevented party members, relatives and friends from meeting him. It is worth to mention that Yasin Sahib was lodged in police station along with Tehreek-I-Hurriyat leader Umar Adil Dar.

Meanwhile martyrs day (13th July), was observed across globe and JKLF leaders and activists in various parts of the world held protest demonstrations against gross human rights violations in Jammu Kashmir. JKLF Leaders held protest rally outside National Press Club Islamabad Pakistan in which JKLF leaders Muhammad Saleem Haroon, Muhammad Rafiq Dar and Khawaja Manzoor Chesti along with many others participated with fervor. Similar protests were held at Kotli Azad Kashmir which was led by Doctor Toqeer Geelani and Ashfaq Kashmiri, In Bagh Azad Kashmir led by Jehangir Mirza and in Mirpur led by Sajid Siddiqi and others.

Protests outside Indian embassies were held at Brussels and were led by Masood Iqbal Mir and Mushtaq Deewa. Protest was held at France led by Mushtaq Pasha and Muzammil Adil. In London a protest outside Indian embassy was led by Professor Zafar, Sabir Gul, Tehseen Geelani, Mehmood Hussain and others. Similarly JKLF leaders in Finland held a protest program in Helsinki in which leaders Tanveer Ahmad Chowdri and Hafiz Muhammad Mazhar Iqbal Naeemi addressed the protesters.

During these protest programs, speakers and participants paid rich tributes to martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of Jammu Kashmir. Participants also condemned the brutalities and human rights violations committed by Indian occupational forces against Kashmiris and hailed the recent report of United Nations vis-à-vis Jammu Kashmir and hoped that United Nations and the international community will take positive steps to resolve this human issue. Meanwhile JKLF has expressed its heartfelt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of two innocent boys Ahqan Ahmad Reshi and Manan A Sofi of Batamaloo Srinagar who died in an unfortunate accident recently. JKLF shares the pain and agony of their bereaved families and prays for their Sabr-i-Jamil.
