Man was killed and another injured in alleged army firing in Kohli area of Gool tehsil in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. Reports quoting locals said that they heard gunshots at 11 pm last night. However, army has told the police that they came under fire at 3:45 am today, following which they opened fire, resulting into death of one person and injuries to another. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Shafi Gujjar. Another person injured in the incident was identified as Shakeel Ahmad. He was shifted to district hospital Ramban for treatment. Both the persons, according to locals, were engaged in cattle trade. SSP Ramban Mohan Lal said an FIR has been registered against 58 RR of the army at Dharamkund police station. “Further investigation is on,” he said.
