Srinagar August 16 (KNO) : Terming the Enforcement Directorate Notice to Syed Ali Geelani as biased and unrealistic, All Parties Hurriyat Conference said that Indian authorities have crossed all democratic, constitutional and moral limits to satisfy their hatred against Kashmiries in general and leadership in particular.

Hurriyat has made it clear long ago that during 2002 Income Tax raid at the residences of Syed Ali Geelani and his close relatives, no currency or any objectionable material was recovered and it was conveyed to the concerned authorities through his council.

In a press statement on Thursday, Hurriyat said that Geelani Sahab and his party has a clear and open stand viz-a-viz Kashmir that this long standing dispute needs to be resolved peacefully in accordance with wishes and aspiration of its people. Harassing Hurriyat chairman and other pro-freedom leaders through its agencies and putting them under the sponsored media trail, Indian autocracy will fail today as they have in the past. Hurriyat said that knitting these imaginary and baseless stories and publicized through its arrogant media, is nothing but to pressurize Geelani Sahab to toe their line.

Hurriyat further said that Geelani sahab is not alien to jails, interrogations, tortures and solitary confinements and he has proved his mettle by his steadfastness and determination and he is not scared of such threats. Hurriyat said, let the occupier and its local collaborators know that we will fight for our basic rights till the last breath and no power on earth can dare to stop us. Hurriyat further said circulating ED notice strengthens our belief that this is a frustrated move to tarnish the image of Geelani Sahab and force him to subjugation.

While condemning the unnecessary harassment of incarcerated Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader Raja Mehraj-ud-din Kalwal’s family by ED and said that he is languishing in Tihar jail from past more than a year despite that Sleuths of Enforcement Directorate on Tuesday landed his home on the pretext of enquiry. The visit of the ED sleuths and unnecessary questioning has infused sense of fear among the family which comprises his aged mother, wife and small daughters.

Hurriyat once again made it clear that Indian leadership with their agencies may try whatever they can, but will never deter us from pursuing our right cause. We can never think of betraying or ignoring the countless sacrifices of our people and through every thick and thin we will stand by them. Insha Allah
