Chairman J&K Bank meets Governor | KNO

Srinagar, August 16 (KNO) : Sh. Parvez Ahmed, Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Bank, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan today. Sh. Ahmed apprised Governor about the Bank’s overall performance particularly the scale of its lending in Agriculture, Horticulture, Handicrafts, Hospitality & Tourism, Poultry, Sheep & Goat Rearing and other upcoming sectors; lending for the implementation of Govt. of India flagship schemes under the Prime Ministers Mudra Yojana (PMMY); expansion of Bank branches,

support to Start Ups to enable entrepreneurs to start their own MSME units and other ventures etc. Governor stressed the important role which the Bank is expected to play for triggering the rapid growth and development of the State and advised Chairman Parvez Ahmed to progressively strengthen the Bank’s internal controls and system for ensuring high efficiency on all fronts.
