PG entrance examination begins at KU | KNO

Srinagar, August 16 (KNO) : The entrance examination for more than 47 PG courses offered by the University of Kashmir shall start here on Friday at KU campus with the KU authorities holding the examinations in three sessions i.e morning, afternoon and evening for the convenience of thousands of the aspirants.

According to the statistics available the University has received more than 31620 entrance applications for admission to various of its post graduate courses for the year 2018 against a vacancy of 3112 seats. The KU authorities including the entire examination and administrative machinery has been geared up to conduct the entrance examination which will begin from August, 17, 2018 and shall conclude on September, 03, 2018.

The KU has made elaborate arrangements and constituted several teaching departments as centres within the campus for conducting the examination. While wishing best of luck to all the PG aspirants Vice Chancellor KU Prof Talat Ahmad said “We have made all the necessary arrangements for the smooth conduct of the examination and we will make sure that the aspirants do not face any difficulty.”

Prof Talat added “The entrance examination for PG courses of the KU is held only once in a year and we request all candidates to reach the examination centres well in advance. It is in their own interest so as to avoid any unnecessary delay.” The programs for which University has received more than 31620 applications include Masters Programme in:: Arabic, English, Hindi, Kashmiri, Library & Information Science, Linguistics, Persian, Sanskrit, Urdu, Commerce, Education, M.Ed., M.P.Ed., Economics, Archaeology, History, Islamic Studies, Mass Communication & Journalism, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Gender Studies, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Botany, Bioresources, Clinical Biochemistry, Zoology, Microbiology, Computer Applications, Electronics, Home Science (Dietetics & Clinical Nutrition, Food Science & Nutrition, Extension & Communication and Human Development), Food Science & Technology, Information Technology, Chemistry, Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Geography, Applied Geology, Geo-Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, MTTM Bachelors Programme in Law: LLB (3 year Professional) The admission process has already been completed in the subjects of BA LLB, LLM , B.Tech and Diploma in French, German and other certificate courses while as the admission process in going on in MBA. The University has also advised the candidates to regularly visit university website for necessary information/instructions regarding Admissions – 2018 and entrance examination.
