August 20 (KNO) : ADGP L&O Shri Munir Ahmad Khan IPS accompanied by IGP Kashmir Shri SP Pani IPS and IG CRPF Shri Ravideep Sahi today visited District Anantnag in South Kashmir to review the security situation in the area.
In a high level meeting, the security arrangements for the upcoming festival of Eid ul Azha in District Anantnag were reviewed by the top police officials in South Kashmir. The top officers were provided with an in-depth briefing about the prevailing security situation in District Anantnag while the officers also held a general security review concerning the law & order situation for the district.
Later in view of the forthcoming festival of Eid, the officials in District Anantnag were directed that the market checking in the areas be intensified and those found indulging in malpractices be appropriately booked so that the common masses do not suffer.
