Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik who took oath last week on Monday called on President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi.

Malik, who replaced N N Vohra, was sworn in as the governor of Jammu and Kashmir on August 23.

This was his first visit to New Delhi after taking charge of the state, which is under governor’s rule. “Both the meetings have been described as courtesy call,” said a media report
