United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Salahuddin has said that Indian agencies are targeting his children and near and dear ones in order to create hurdles in way of his “pro-freedom” activities.
Salahuddin said, “Subjecting my children and near and dear ones to vengeance, and making vain attempts of maligning my role towards the freedom movement can neither suppress me nor wane off the people’s faith in the leadership.” UJC chief said he has been away from his family for the last 30 years and “the whole nations know that none of my family members has been associated with the financial matters of the freedom movement”.
“My character is clean, and the character assassination by Indian agencies is extremely condemnable,” he said. Syed Salahuddin has appealed to Kashmir Bar Association and civil society of Kashmir to investigate the property of the last thirty years of his children and “present before the nation the probe so that everything is crystal clear”.
“Those dedicating their lives for the supremacy of Islam and the freedom movement of Kashmir don’t prefer petty materialistic benefits over the everlasting life of the hereafter,” the UJC chief said.
