Srinagar, September 6 (KNO) : Expressing his deep concern on the gross human rights violations at the hands of Indian occupation forces in the nook and corner of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani condemned the brute use of military force against the civil population and the innocent relatives of youth engaged in an armed struggle for the right to self-determination.

Terming the repressive measures of vandalizing the property of the families of the mujahedeen and intimidating them on the basis of revulsion and detestation as highly cowardice and deplorable, the Hurriyat leader affirmed that none of the International laws pertaining to war does permit any such military action against unarmed civilians.

Citing the recent examples of incarcerating the two sons of Syed Salah-ud-din, Shahid Yousuf and Shakeel Yousuf by the NIA and vandalizing the house of parents of Lateef Tiger of same armed outfit, the Hurriyat chairman linked these unjustified actions carried out by the occupation forces to the policy of building pressure on the freedom loving people as well as on the mujahedeen commanders to succumb before the Indian military might.

Hurriyat chairman reiterated his stand that militancy is the reaction of Indian obduracy and denial of right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir.

Expressing his extreme shock on the gruesome incident of killing yet another 9 year old Muskan of Boniyar Uri in North Kashmir, after the sad event of killing of Asifa of Kathua, early this year, the Hurriyat leader regretted to find any words for condolences with the bereaved family and also for condemning the perpetrators of this heinous crime.

Demanding that the culprits involved in this gruesome incident must be brought to justice, the Hurriyat leader said occurrence of such heinous crimes is a shame for our social fabric.

Our moral bankruptcy has erased the social and moral values. Extinction of humanity is visible and certain if we do not rise to the occasion or ignore the wakeup call given by these extreme limits of criminality, asserted Geelani.

Condemning the criminal silence adopted by the so-called authorities at the helm of affairs, Geelani alleged that the alarming rate of crime and existence of a lawless society is directly correlated to the state of subjugation. Condemning the killing of Suresh Kumar 17 year old boy from Bihar, at the hands of occupation forces, Hurriyat chairman expressed his anguish on the increase in the killing spree of civilians.

The Hurriyat leader also condemned the frequent incarceration of senior Hurriyat leaders and activists under the draconian laws like, PSA and said that Mohammad Amin Dar, District President of Muslim League has been booked on fictious grounds of detention and lodged in Kotbalwal jail.

Hurriyat leader also expressed his anguish on the nocturnal raids by the police forces to intimidate the family of Manzoor Ahmad Lone hailing from Lelhar Pulwama, a political activist of the resistance movement.

Hurriyat leader demanded a serious notice from the International recognized human rights organizations to prevail upon the Indian occupation forces to keep an effective check on the human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir and help resolve the long pending Kashmir issue as per the wishes and aspirations of the people.
