Srinagar, 7 September (KNO) : Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) has shown strong resentment and dissatisfaction over complete inaction of police against a habitual trouble maker and a ground level political worker, who has thrashed a senior physician, Dr Bilal Ahmad Ganie on 03-09-2018.

It is pertinent to mention here that the said political "chamchah" is known for rowdiness and in recent past he has abused many health employees physically.

An FIR no. 80 of 2018 Dated 03.09.2018 stands lodged against him in police station Verinag and it is very unfortunate and shameful that rather than arresting the accused, police has allowed him to file an counter FIR on false, fabricated bases just to frighten and pressurise the honest doctor to take the case back.

President DAK Dr Suhail Naik while castigating police for complete inaction and allowing such habitual miscreants to lodge a counter FIR is actually encouraging these goons to create fuss in hospitals, so that they can remain in lime light.

District President DAK for Anantnag, Dr Adil Wani said that it is because of these hooligans that most doctors leave this state and prefer to work outside the state. Such people are real threat to society and must be dealt with law of land, Dr Wani added. Meanwhile DAK appeals IGP Kashmir to take sue moto cognisance of this serious issue and punish the culprits as per law of the land.

Further our health employees are working day night with out any security and are running the department in turmoil hit state smoothly. DAK has time and again stressed the government to bring an ordinance, where in abuse against health professionals must be treated as non bailable offence.
