Srinagar, Tuesday Sep. 11 (KNO) :  Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today appealed Hon'ble Governor Shri Satiya Pal Sharma to personally intervene and full fill all the genuine demands of SSA teachers, who are protesting for the same since long time.

While calling demands of SSA teachers legal and legitimate DAK president Dr Suhail Naik said that teachers are the future builders of nation, and are the providers of knowledge and wisdom. With optimum education, wisdom, exposure and resources, the teachers are building the nation for tomorrow brick by brick.

The pathetic approach of government towards teachers will put them in mental agony and that can in turn prove devastating for students , Dr Naik added. While urging the Hon'ble Governor led State Government to fulfill the demands of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers at the earliest, DAK president today said it is unfortunate that nation builders are being forced to come on roads to demand their dues.

General Secretary DAK , Dr Owais H Dar said that implementation of 7th pay commission to SSA teachers is their fundamental right as there is standing supreme court ruling to pay equal salary for equal work. It is very unfortunate that for last few months, the SSA teachers are continuously hitting streets to press for their genuine demands, and nothing concrete has been done so far Dr Owais added.
