Kupwara police organized Anti Drug Bike Rally | KNO

September 12 (KNO) : In order to aware common masses about the ill effects of drug menace, Kupwara police in collaboration with volunteers of Lobal Youth Organization, organized an Anti Drug Bike Rally under the theme “United We Stand to Fight against Drugs for Drug Free Lolab”.

This 30 Kilometer bike rally which started from Sports Ground Potshai via Cahndigam and Tikipora to Sogam was flagged off by SSP Kupwara Shri Ram Ambarkar. About 300 locals of the area including the students of various schools and college with hoardings and banners of Anti drug slogans participated in the rally.

Speaking on the occasion SSP Kupwara stressed on the need of moral education to the children of present day age and appealed the parents, teachers & members of civil society member to ensure that children do not fall prey to any social evil. He said that Kupwara Police will launch a vigorous awareness campaign against drug menace across the district.

He also urged upon student community to concentrate on studies and take part in sports & athletic activities. The SSP also spoke about ill effects of drug menace on physical, social and psychological health of society members. Further the officer stated that today's youth is tomorrow's future and every stakeholder should take responsibility to work against this dreaded menace.
