Doda Police Register Case against Rumor monger ,Investigation started | KNO

DODA , SEPT 12 (KNO) : It came to the notice of Doda police that some Photograph / massages of some boys of District Doda were circulated in WhatsApp groups regarding joining of militancy. On getting this information Doda Police swung into action and started ascertaining the identity of these youth. During verification it was found that one of these youth namely Musthaq Ahmed S/O Abdullah R/O Sasarwar Tehsil Bhagwah District Doda was working as pony porter with Machail Yatra at Paddar Kishtwar along with his father.

Doda Police established contact with him and called him back. 0n 11.09.2018 the said Mushtaq Rather reported at P/S Doda alongwith a written complaint that he had gone to Paddar in connection with his work and some miscreants circulated a false message in social media claiming of his joining militancy thereby endangering his life besides defaming him.

In this regard Doda Police has registered FIR under No. 158/2018 US 120-B, 121-A, 505 RPC , 66 IT Act against unknown persons who uploaded and photographing false and malicious messages and investigation has been taken up.It is pertinent to mention that one more youth namely Ashiq Hussain R/O Kawkilla Dessa whose photographs was also circulated along with a fake message regarding his joining militancy has been traced by Police, The boy was working with a private Company at Hyderpura area of Srinagar namely AMC which deals laying of Electric cables. He has returned to his home safely.

Moreover, a lookout notice has been issued regarding one more missing youth namely Masood Ahmed S/O Abdul Gani Butt R/O Manjmi Dessa who was involved in case FIR No. 07/2018 U/S 354-A & B RPC 07/08 POCSVO of women P/S Doda for whom message were also circulated in social media regarding joining of Militancy at PS Doda.He has actually gone underground as non bailable warrants have been issued Hon'ble Court.The case against such rumour mongers has been registered and further investigation is going on to identify and book the culprits at the earliest, These messages are false and are being circulated to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere and instigate the youth. Public is requested to refrain from sharing such type of fake messages in the social media.
