I will extend a hand of friendship to people of South Kashmir : Governor Malik | KNO

rinagar, September 29 (KNO) : Governor S P Malik while admitting that there was a need of addressing the anger among the youth of Kashmir today said he will extend a hand of friendship to people of South Kashmir to bring peace in the region. He said youth of Kashmir were full of talent and they hold the key to Kashmir's future. Addressing the youth festival in the lawns of SKICC organised by the army, Governor Malik said that he acknowledges the issue of people of South Kashmir and will soon extend a hand of friendship to people of South Kashmir so that peace prevails there. "I have decided to treat people of South Kashmir friendly," he said. On the corruption he said it was very deep rooted in Kashmir and he will ensure it is rooted out. " I have come here with a suit case and will return with the same," he said. He said music can't alone bring peace in the region and there was a need of other initiatives too. He, however, said he was surprised to see the presence of youth in large numbers in a youth festival. "I am feeling 10 years younger than my age today," he said.(KNO)
